5 Things You Can Do With Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo, the water-free instant hair refresher and beautifier, has been around for several hundred years, and even though it’s formula has changed a bit it has mostly stayed the same. No matter if you use it or not, chances are high that you have heard of it. But what you may not know is all the amazing things it is used for. Pull out that handy bottle of aerosol dry shampoo because we have some hacks for you!

  • Add a Little Extra Hold

If you don’t like the heavy tack of hairspray, or need to give a little more volume to your updo, all while firmly keeping it in place, dry shampoo is going to quickly become your go-to. Not only will it help hold your style in place, but it will do it while taking away the shine and sheen that some hair products may be adding to your hair, leaving you with an updo full of volume and no shine. The dream is now a reality!

  • Bobby Pin Glue

Dry Shampoo hints and tricksNothing is worse than getting your hair perfectly placed and then having bobby pins wiggle their way out all day. Constantly pushing them back in is never fun, nor is leaving a trail of them behind you. Spray some dry shampoo on your pins before placing them and those little wigglies will be stuck in place all day.

  • Stop The Grease Stains

Dry shampoo is good for more than just hair! Just like this amazing product can suck the grease out of your hair, it can also suck the grease right out of your clothes. Drop some pizza of your shirt? Did bacon grease splatter over your jeans? All of these (and so much more) can leave stains that will forever ruin your clothes. Spray a little dry shampoo onto the spot before washing and it’ll get to work, potentially saving that favorite blouse.

  • Stick Those Poses

Yoga can be tough, especially if sweaty palms or feet are making those poses hard to accomplish. There is a reason they make those sticky socks after all, you are not alone! But if you are like us and don’t want to increase your temperature by adding another layer, spray a little bit of dry shampoo on your fingers and toes before class and the slippies will be a thing of the past.

  • Gives Shoes New Air

Dry Shampoo hints and tricksThere is nothing worse than the smell of your gym shoes after a run, unless of course you forgot your powder or spray. That’s definitely worse. Don’t fret though, that dry shampoo can easily serve the same purpose, sucking up the sweat and filling your shoes with a pleasant aroma. We don’t suggest this one in the long term, as it can get kind of tacky, but in a pinch – it is truly perfection.
